Actual Reminder

Easily set up reminders and the East Imperial Soft-developed application Actual Reminder will read them out loud to you. On top of that, the application will speak out the time, it will put a calendar on your desktop, it will tell you a little bit about the weather by putting a forecast on the desktop for the location of your choosing, it will automatically shut down the computer for you, and more.

Actual Reminder is compatible with any Windows edition you can think of, from Windows 9x onward. Download and run an executable of about 5MB and you will be able to install the application in the language of your choosing – you can pick between the following supported languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian. When the installation completes and you run Actual Reminder for the first time, you will be asked to adjust the application’s voice settings and pick a city for its forecast functionality.

By default, the application will put a calendar in the upper right hand side on your desktop. From the settings menu you can pick another corner or you can drag and drop the calendar to any location you want on the screen. The application can also display the forecast for the location of your choosing on the desktop.

While Actual Reminder is running, you can access its functionality from the icon in the system tray. Double click the icon and you will be presented with a menu to create a reminder, left click it to view the weather forecast, and right click it to view a context menu that lets you access the settings menu and more.

The nice thing about creating a reminder with Actual Reminder is that you can set it up to automatically run a program and the fact that the application will read your reminder out loud. If you set up a reminder for August 1st at 4PM that says “Meet up Marry at the shops”, at 4PM the application will present you with the reminder and will read out loud the text it contains.

There are other things you can do with the Actual Reminder application: access a notepad, have the application speak out the time, automatically change the desktop wallpaper, have the application automatically shut down or reboot your PC, view world holidays, and view a calendar. You can access all this functionality by right clicking the Actual Reminder icon in the system tray.
